Adasco is a family owned and operated firm. Our founder, Isaac Levy, started his career as a diamond cutter over thirty years ago. Today with his wife and son, Adasco is breaking new ground in the diamond industry.
It was Isaacs' knowledge of diamond cutting, combined with his son Adams' pursuit of a niche in a competitive diamond industry, which led to the advent of "Ideal Matched Pairs" Tm.
You probably know us already for our extensive inventory of finely made, GIA graded single diamonds, from ½ - 3 ct. But our Ideal Matched Pairs Tm are unlike anything that you’ve seen.
We spoke to many people on different levels of the diamond industry about matched pairs. Most people said, "the one thing they hate to order, is pairs from their suppliers". The reason they gave was, most of the pairs they were receiving were not really matched pairs. They spoke of wasted time and lost sales because of the bad shipment they received.
Let me explain our process of making an Ideal matched Pair Tm. We start out with large parcels of finely made fancies, we then sort the diamonds by color and size, then we get more personal with them. Within each size we look closely at the color to match perfectly, not within one color! Then we look at the brilliance, which is usually a reflection of the Table and Depth percentage variations and finally we measure the diamonds on a Presidium Digital gauge. For most companies this process would be excruciating, but we take it a step further. After matching the color and brilliance perfectly, we then re-cut the two stones to match perfectly. Almost all of our pairs have been re-cut to match, only then can we call them Ideal Matched Pairs Tm.
Some people might ask, "How can you go through that long process and still be competitive?" The answer is simple, we have so much experience in this field and have this down to such a science, that we are able to be perfectionists and still be competitive.
Besides, we don't have any competition, since all the other so-called pairs out there really aren't matched pairs. Also, because of the volume of pairs that we produce, we can do this without being costly.
Another question that might be asked is "Why the fuss over matched pairs, why not perfect another field?" The answer is, you would be surprised to know all the uses of matched pairs. Other than the traditional Three-stone ring, with a diamond or colored-center stone, you can use them for stud earrings, anniversary bands, Riviera necklaces or multi-stone earrings.
Ideal Matched Pairs Tm are available as single pairs or in layouts, whether you need pairs for stock or on memo for a specific call, either way every order is filled with the same attention and promptness.
Ideal Matched Pairs Tm are available in various sizes and quality combinations. Depending on the shape, the qualities range from D-J in color and VVS+ - I1 in clarity. The sizes range from 0.10 ct. - 1 ct.+ each. We grade our pairs very strictly against our set of GIA master stones. On a few select pairs we even have a full GIA grading report to accompany the diamonds.
As a special service for our customers we also offer Handmade Platinum or Gold Mountings made to accommodate our diamonds, we offer very well made mountings at very reasonable prices. Some can be made with an Antique finish as well.
Our finely made single stones are available in the same quality, from 1/2 ct. - 3 ct., mostly with GIA grading reports.
